Kore Cares Care Champion: Julie
Last year, front line workers were put to the test when the Coronavirus quickly swept the world. Health care professionals were asked to work longer hours at a higher risk. We wanted to create an award that honors the work our frontline staff and all the frontline staff everywhere are doing day in and day out to care for other people. Kore Cares wanted to honor two people who embody the ultimate caregiver. We asked coworkers, family members, etc. to nominate someone in their life who they think goes above and beyond for their clients/patients/residents every day. We received a variety of responses highlighting numerous deserving nominees. Last year’s winners were Desiree and Jennifer. We are excited to continue this award for years to come and continue to shine a light on these caregivers who are making a difference in the lives of those they serve. We want to share a little about our 2021 Care Champions. Learn a little bit about Julie below!
Julie has been a home care caregiving for over a year. She has had an entire career in medical coding, but wanted a second job where she felt she was providing hands-on care and making a difference. In her time as a caregiver, Julie has impacted her clients in numerous ways by going above and beyond to make sure those she cares for are achieving their best life possible in their home. Here is what Julie’s nominator had to say about her: “Julie is so caring. She goes out of her way to my sure my mother understands her by talking in a clear, slow manner. Julie checks with my sister, myself and my mother to make sure all her needs are met. If she notices some of her supplies are getting low, she makes sure we know so mom doesn't run out of anything. She keeps my mother engaged by keeping up a line of discussion that my mother truly enjoys. Julie always takes time to read scriptures from the Bible and devotional sent out by my mother's church. Julie is truly special, always goes the extra mile and we appreciate her very much.”
Thanks for all you do, Julie!
