A Career in Home Care
To those looking for employment home care can seem like a mysterious work place setting. Many people wonder:

Home care is a place where caregivers get to utilize their gifts and talents to help individuals who want to remain in their own home but can’t without a little assistance. At Kore Cares we help anyone 18 years or older who may have a disability, injury, illness or because of the aging process needs a little extra assistance staying in the place they call home. Caregivers might help with housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, errands and personal cares. This may seem like simple tasks but helping in these areas is necessary to keeping those in need at home. A home care caregiver has the opportunity to get to know those they serve and make a meaningful impact in their life.
People always want to know who might be a good fit as a caregiver. We hire people with a variety of talents and experience but if we were to sum up our caregivers here is what we would say:
· College Students: This is a great job for college students looking for a flexible schedule and job experience. We will train anyone who is interested in being a home care caregiver.
· Health Care Professions: This is a great job for a certified nursing assistant, patient care techs, direct support professionals or anyone currently working in the health care field looking for a change of pace. The Kore Cares owner started in health care as a certified nursing assistant and later became a home care caregiver. She enjoyed home care because it allowed get to know her clients and really make a meaningful impact in their life.
· Second Job: If you are looking for a second job that provides a flexible schedule and meaningful work look no further. We have several people who work for us because they are looking for a supplemental income but also work that gives back to others.
· Second Career: Some of the caregivers that work for us have had a successful careers and are looking for their next career.
· Domestic Engineers: Sometimes stay-at-home moms are looking for a job that are flexible and work around their family’s work schedule. We have had several stay-at-home moms work for us in the evening or even overnight.
