Kore Cares Care Champion: Desiree

This year, Kore Cares wanted to honor two people who embody the ultimate caregiver. We asked coworkers, family members, etc. to nominate someone in their life who they think goes above and beyond for their clients/patients/residents every day. We received a variety of responses highlighting numerous deserving nominees. We are excited to continue this award for years to come and continue to shine a light on these caregivers who are making a difference in the lives of those they serve. We want to share a little about our 2020 Care Champions. Next up is Desiree.

Desiree is a long-time caregiver with Kore Cares. She received multiple nominations from clients she has impacted over the past few years. Many of the descriptions of Desiree that were provided by her nominators mentioned that she is always willing to go the extra mile with a smile on her face. Other comments mentioned how she is well-liked by everyone in the family. Other than clients, Desiree also received a nomination from a community member who arrived at a scene where Desiree had needed to call 911 after finding a client injured at the start of the shift. The community member noted that when they arrived, Desiree was talking with the client and keeping them calm the entire time. After emergency services had left with the client, Desiree stayed and made sure the dog had enough food and water until the family would be home. The nominator added that Desiree has “truly found her calling” and we could not agree more!
