4th of July Activities in Sioux Falls
The way we celebrate holidays is going to look different for the foreseeable future. Even with a majority of cities working towards reopening, there is still hesitation to hold events in which large crowds gather. Many city leaders and business owners have worked hard to ensure the holiday is as festive as ever for Sioux Falls residents. Here are a few ways to celebrate in town!
Virtual 5K - Participate in a virtual 5K run/walk with friends and family this 4th of July weekend! There are 3 routes setup throughout the Sioux Falls area to choose from. You may participate at any point of the weekend (July 3-5) and set your own pace! Visit https://www.siouxfalls.org/july4 for the routes and for more information.
Virtual Parade - There will be no 4th of July parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The city of Sioux Falls has created a #OneSiouxFalls4th where you’re invited to use this hashtag to show your American colors and how you’re spending your 4th! You can participate in this anytime during the weekend (July 3-5). Visit https://www.siouxfalls.org/july4 for more information!
Fireworks - There will be a live firework show at Elmwood Golf Course on Saturday, July 4th. The public can view the display from anywhere in northwest Sioux Falls while listening to patriotic music on Sunny 93.3 FM.
The Kore Cares team hopes you are able to enjoy some of these activities and wishes you a happy and safe 4th of July!
