Roughly two weeks ago, Kore Cares staff began phase one of two of the COVID Vaccination process. As you may know, both vaccines currently available (Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech) require two doses. In-home caregivers are responsible for assisting with one-on-one care in a person’s home as an alternative solution to nursing homes, assisted living, rehabilitation units, etc. The tasks they assist with are referred to as activities of daily living (ADL’s). These are tasks that may seem almost automatic, but can become more and more difficult over time and include: personal cares (bathing, incontinence care, dressing, etc.), transportation, housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, and miscellaneous tasks such as dog walking and checking the mail.
